Why are women still promoted less than men?

Over the last decade the number of Martech companies has grown exponentially. There’s countless tools for hosting websites, hundreds for sending emails, systems for housing data, tools for visualizing data, and on and on and on.&nbsp;No one knows this better than today’s guest Scott Brinker, Founder of ChiefMartec blog and creator of the Martech supergraphic, a well-known visual that attempts to organize marketing technology by logos. 10 years ago the quaint graphic had 150 logos. Today’s version has over 8,000.&nbsp;﻿With the martech industry growing exponetially--and companies, on average, using 75+ tools--we have to ask: How much tech is too much tech?

As VP Platform Ecosystem at HubSpot, Scott Brinker shapes the company's platform strategy and leads business programs for its global technology partner ecosystem. Before that, Scott was the co-founder and CTO of ion interactive, a SaaS company that pioneered interactive content for global enterprises (Cisco, Dell, DHL, General Mills, Microsoft, etc.) and was acquired in 2017.

Since 2008, Scott has also run the Chief Marketing Technologist blog, chiefmartec.com, with over 50,000 readers, analyzing topics at the intersection of marketing, technology, and management. Scott created the Marketing Technology Landscape, mapping the growth of the marketing technology industry from a few hundred vendors to 8,000. In 2014, he launched the MarTech conference, where he currently serves as the event's program chair, bringing together a community of thousands of senior marketing operations and technology professionals.
